Sounds good to me! Gonna focus on the shoulder injury at first, since it'll definitely be the worst, yes? SoSuWriMo 461

Mati had left the room early to go do something or another and Cambria had proceeded to stick her nose into one of her books about the healing properties of herbs and plants. Some may have called her obsessive with how ritually she read her books and studied her practice, but the pack Medicus simply would have called it making sure she was prepared. Healing was a fine art that could harbor dreadful consequences if someone gave a patient too much of one of the otherwise helpful substances. It was a balancing act, and one the Marino was intent on getting correct. Especially with winter coming on hard she wanted to be all brushed up on her knowledge in case someone caught an illness. Most of her experience was in treating wounds and she hadn't had much with treating sickness. To be the healer that Crimson Dreams needed, she had to be knowledgeable on both fronts. Really, on every single thing pertaining to her chosen profession imaginable. Cambria wasn't good at a lot, but she was determined to make sure she was good at this. She wouldn't let her family and her pack down.

Enzo, her mourning dove, was perched on the top of her head as she read intently over the words in her book. For some reason, having him right with her helped her concentrate on her studies rather than distract her from them. Perhaps it was because finding him injured had been the catalyst that had lead her down this path. That explanation made sense to her, at least. The call wasn't very loud, but given that it was in a tongue only her family knew here, it stood out enough for her to hear it loud and clear. It sounded like her uncle, and he needed her for something? Cambria closed her book and stood, Enzo flying back to his cage.

The cocoa fey opened the door of her and Mati's room and caught sight of her uncle. "Sì, Ehno di Zio? Ciò che è es--" Her question cut off mid-word as she walked closer and got a good look at him. He was hurt! The most obvious injury was on his shoulder and did not look good at all. Immediately her professional instincts kicked in and she went back into her room, gathering up her supplies and carrying them out into the common area. Depositing them on one of the sofas she moved to the kitchen and grabbed a pot, filling it with water that was stored in the room. Cambria carried it back out with her and set it next to the fire to warm it. "Sit down near the fire so I can get a better look." Her voice lacked all of its usual timidity.
