WC: 393 OOC: Sorry bout that little wait, and we can figure something to do Big Grin

Amata had been settling in nicely again, she’d found her own room, now that she was an adult and she had younger siblings, she thought it would be best, but she was determined to stay close to her family from now on. She didn’t have many possessions, only what she’d left here before leaving on her expedition to learn what she needed to learn. So she just cleaned up the room before being satisfied that it was perfect. She would easily find something here or there that she would collect over the days, but for now she found herself downstairs on the first floor. She had found a book that intrigued her, so sitting in a chair near the fire she started reading. It was an old human book, and the words had faded in some spots, but it was a fiction, and it was rather interesting as she spent all morning reading it… she wanted to know what came next, what happened after, what would the humans do in that situation they got themselves into… then she’d thought of what she would do. Upon Thinking of such a thing she understood… Humans were not wild animals of any sort, many of them couldn’t defend themselves, not as well as even the weakest luperci… no wonder these poor animals were extinct…

She was immersed in the pages until her light source started dying down. She groaned, not wanting to put the book down but without that needed light, though the sun shone through the thick curtains, she liked the light of the fire much better than the inward sun, so putting the book down, she went to the fireplace after grabbing a few logs, prodding around the ashes she moved the logs inside, to get the fire started again, it took a little bit for the fire to see and start to eat at the wood in the fireplace, and soon the room was alight with the blaze of a very nice, very warm fire.

Ah much better!

She said to herself, rubbing her paws together, letting the warmth wash over her cream colored body. Though fire was so destructive, she couldn’t help but think of it as a life source, something that brought warmth around, and kept them from freezing. She got back up and sat in her chair continuing the book.
