Private Kesho! sswm 731

There were few individuals she bothered surrounding herself with, but she was fairly content with a handful of her fellow clan members. There were some utterly useless individuals here, but not all were unworthy of her friendship. Whether or not they desired hers was a completely different issue, one that she cared little about. As long as she got something out of their sparring sessions and got to some of her duties as head warrior of the clan, she was more than content. The woman smiled at her own reflection in the whole figure mirror on the door of the closet. Fingers brushed through the soft auburn locks framing her exotic face, lit by stunning scarlet orbs. She had lost much of that youthful arrogance that included her exceptional looks, but had gained much more pride on other areas of expertise. She knew she was beautiful, knew that she was a skilled fighter that most should feel honoured practising with.

There was only one current, screaming flaw in her life at the moment, but it was hard to deal with. Ruby had wept salt water when it had been revealed that her own son had turned on his family and been thrown out of the clan, but she knew where her loyalty lay. Itachi had not been a wanted child in her life, and in a hideous, egocentric way, she was relieved that she would not have to deal much more with the unwanted child. Still, she was not completely without a soul, and had wept her streams of bitter tears. Now was time to think about other things, and her deep maroon orbs were dry and stern. Fingers smoothed out wrinkles in the soft fabric portraying the eastern dragon twisting through the crimson sky and she thought she was ready. Her lovely form turned as she peered to both of the swords resting on her desk. One of her faithful rats sat there, watching her, and she beamed at it, walking over to let a finger lightly stroke its little head. Rats were such beautiful creatures; so loyal and useful if one just reminded them of whom was their superior.

She pondered whether or not she should bring the swords out to play today, but decided against it. They were two of her most valuable possessions, and she loved them like she loved family. They were a part of her. Their price had been terribly high, but the unpleasant memory did not hurt as much as it once had. Samael was once again gone from these lands, and it seemed from the last time they met that things could be bearable. She had finally been able to put the matter to rest, and though she would always be haunted by cruel hands travelling down along her body, she did not feel quite as broken anymore. The woman picked up the fat rodent and let it settle on her shoulder in a rare outburst of kindness. Well, to be honest she was not a cruel master to her small minions. The Lykoi woman could probably treat her fellow canines much better, but there just was not enough patience within her to stand idly by and watch retarded habits fold out before her. Snorting in disgust at a more recent memory of her younger half-sister, she turned to walk out through her bedroom door.

Ruby orbs gazed longingly down the hallway towards Silas’ door, but perhaps she would have the time to seek him out later if the day developed without boring casualties. Kesho was one she adored in many ways, and his presence always brought contentment with it. She lunged down the stairs and exited the cold mansion, walking into the back yard of the looming human building. The sticks remained where she had left them the day before and she carefully lowered the rodent down on the cold ground, muttering gentle words of limited affection as she did so. She was alone for now, and she began warming up straight away, flexing limbs that still seemed to possess residue of sleep, but she knew it would not last. She always rose right before the sun and spent a few dedicated hours outside polishing her skills. Her rodent friend watched, and every once in a while she glanced at it as it sat at the back porch, obedient as any pet.
