a fine day to wander

712 words. Sooo sorry this is late, I forgot about this thread even existing until this morning! ;-; Also, this scenario is perfect for Shi to find her necklace.

Shiloh knew very little about humans. No one really told her much, except they left everything behind when they were wiped out. The damsel supposed it was a good thing, for humans, in her mind, were dirty, messy creatures. Even as her perfectly white form strolled out to the outskirts of Halifax, the barren city humans once lived in, she questioned whether or not to go back. Snow and frost did little to make the area look 'nicer', it only made the buildings look more threatening, as old walls and alleyways groaned through the cold wind. The Dawnbringer female wasn't sure what quite brought her to this place, but now she was here.

She stopped for a moment, as if hesitating to go in further into the town. It looked dangerous, but more importantly.. filthy. If the snow had not been there between her feet and the cracked gravel, she might have easily turned her nose. A small squeal erupted from her lips when a chill crawled up her back, and pulled her arms tighter around her body. She was crazy for leaving her home earlier that day without it, but the sun shining through the windows deceived her. Though the extra fur that grew on her body during wintertime would have sufficed, Shiloh was sensitive to cold, and demanded more than what was provided. Her adventures took her as far as to Whisper beach, that day, but curiosity in the young female pushed her onward.

And now, here she was, debating whether to turn around now. Off-white colored ears twitched in thought, but the first step further into the city confirmed her decision. As little as she knew about humans, she was told that they left several things behind that wolves used. Clothing, houses, utensils, and other such things. She wondered briefly, as snow crunched underneath her in descending a small hill to an outcrop of buildings, if humans left behind.. prettier things. Once or twice did she see elegant jewelry adorn some wolves, objects that wasn't made from leather or parts of animals, like the beautiful things AniWaya had.

A smile crossed her face in remembering that day, grateful to have seen a culture unlike what she knew of. She would have never known such a land existed had she not taken her small journey, and in a way today was another one. Shiloh found herself on a road where shops surrounded her left and right. Signs hung off chains or pegs, swinging freely, creaking sounds combined with hollow whistles from blown out windows. Cerulean eyes were kept open and alert, feeling slightly uncomfortable for the decision she made. The young woman turned the corner, and found more shops, though it seemed the destruction was less in this little bend of buildings. With nowhere else to turn but back the way she came, Shi decided she may as well take a look around.

A particular scent drifted through her nose, and the young female paused mid-step. It smelled like another wolf, though she could not be too sure with the other stenches of the barren, apocalyptic like city. She was more curious, though, than wary, as her head turned to look around her. There were no sights or sounds, though, that aided her, as Shiloh approached a slightly open doorway. Looking it over for a clean(er) spot, she pushed it further open with her foot, blinking into the darkness. "H-hello?" She greeted the stale, dust-laced contents of the building, open it wider when no one answered. Sun shone further inside, allowing the young white female to peer further inside.

What she saw before her was a small clothing shop of sorts, racks still hanging with shirts, pants, coats, and shawls, with several patterns and colors Shiloh never imagined to have worked together. A small 'o' formed on her lips, instantly curious how humans made these types of things. Day by day, the white and cream colored female grew interested in the making of clothing, objects that protected the body from harm, from weather, and from dirt! Shi smiled anxiously, though she had to force her eyes back to her feet. She had to watch her step in the slightly damaged shop, as she gingerly took a step into the doorway.
