He had heard rumors of a new pack forming to the north while he was visiting in Halifax. With Crimson Dreams being so far to the south, hugging the beaches and the ocean the packs to the north weren't really of concern to them. In fact, most of the packs around his home lands were of no concern to his pack mates. Cour des Miracle and Aniwaya were both on good terms with his family. He himself had a few friends in Cour des Miracles and some acquaintances in the tribe and he knew that many of his family members had met plenty of others from around the area.

It was curious that a new pack would form in the north where war had recently come to an end. It certainly wasn't a place he would choose to start a young and vulnerable pack. He would have started it closer to the south where the packs were just nice neighbors. Still, who was he to complain about where a pack decided to set up camp. It wasn't the rumor of the pack that had sparked his interest to start with, it was the name behind the pack, Naniko's name. The wolves and coyotes in Halifax had spread the word that Naniko, of all wolves, had started this pack. As far as Jazper was concerned Nani had run off from the Valley and never come back. Yet here she was, starting a pack of her own.

His eye's attention was caught by a figure off the coast, a tall thin tower of sorts. It looked a little like the windmill in his territory but there was no turning things on it. Curious, and never being this far north close to the ocean, the Knight started for the building. As he approached it became taller and taller. Stopping he looked down at the water, to get to the building he would have to cross it. Currently, Jazper was on all fours and Ghita had wrapped his bandages around his chest this morning. The slashes across his chest from the bear fight were now completely scabbed over but Amata's orders were orders and bandages were to be worn to protect it from ripping open and bleeding out. Walking into the water he began to swim towards the tall thin building. What could it be? Quickly reaching the island he shook his fur, sending water droplets flying, and walked up to the building.

Stepping inside he was shocked to see just stairs. Walking on his four legs he slowly made his way up the stairs, anticipating a landing, but the stairs never ended. The stairs just spiraled up and up and up never seeming to end. By the time he reached the top he was pleasantly surprised to see a giant glass bulb, much light the light bulbs in the manor, but who would need such a large light source? Walking over to the edge of the room his ears perked up upon realizing that there was just an open space where a wall should have been. Looking out at the ocean he sat wondering what this place could be.
