Disclaimer: Since I am drugged up right now and my posts have been kind of strange, I've decided to hold off on replying to actual threads until I recover. Instead, I decided to concentrate my muse on the telling of Clover's acquisition of Daisy. I'm sorry in advance if these posts make no sense and are kind of weird.

It was a trek that would take a complete two days, and that was if the girl decided not to stop walking. That, of course, would be impossible. She’d need to rest along the way, and Clover planned to sleep when night fell. It was not a place she had ever been, and despite her instinctual senses guiding her, she did not want to make a mistake and end up somewhere where she had not been planning on going at all. But she had told the woman that she would come see her at some point, and Clover thought that now might as well be as good a time as any. After all, she wanted to see how Ember’s injury was healing up, since the cold months of winter were upon them. She’d bring some of her medical supplies with her, in case she had to do any last minute treatment on the wound. Clover just wanted to make sure her patient was all healed up from then. She had seemed like a lovely woman when the coyote had first met her, and she did not want to see anything bad happen to her. During times like this, she’d need to be in if not perfect, then extremely good health. The winter was not always kind to everyone.

She hadn’t really known how to prepare for it, and felt strange when she stood outside of the mansion with little to carry with her. The little knapsack she had carried while she had lived along was once again slung over a shoulder, but its weight felt light and did not reassure her. She felt somehow as if she was forgetting something important, but nothing else in her room seemed to be useful for a trip to the strange clan’s borders. With a glance over her shoulder, pale yellow eyes studying the outline of the colossal mansion and the peak of the greenhouse jus around back, the young coyote hiked the strap on her bag and headed out of the coyote clan’s lands. She’d be back in a couple of days, and she was sure not much would change while she was gone. She assured herself that she would miss nothing important, and that no one would hardly notice her absence. After all, it didn’t really seem as if many of the coyotes in Inferni knew of her existence. Despite her need for social interaction, Clover had somehow managed to tuck herself away in a corner. She needed to find a way to branch out again. Her sisters’ arrival to Inferni had done much to bring out the Clover everyone had known and loved in Juniper Peace.

She trailed south from the mansion, but did not breach the coyote’s borders for a few miles. She felt as if she were on another trip to the great city of Halifax, but knew her intended travel would bring her much farther. There wasn’t much to guide her to AniWaya, but Clover was sure she’d be alright in the end. She would let Mother Earth give her signs that her path was correct, and let the beauty of the earth surround her. Even if she was not successful in finding Ember again, Clover would still be left with a journey that had let her experience more of Earth’s beautiful scenery. She had not taken the time to stop and appreciate it lately. Maybe now, along her few days trek, she would stop and smell the roses.

As she plummeted her way into Arachnea’s Revenge, Clover reached for the twisted double braids that ran across her forehead. Tucked into one of the headbands strands, Clover extracted a joint. She had placed on there earlier, when she had been collecting her things in her room of the mansion, but had not expected to reach for it so soon. It didn’t really matter, for the girl had brought plenty more of the stuff with her in her knapsack, but she had been telling herself all along that she’d try to conserves what she had brought with her, so that she might share more with Ember and whomever she met along the way. Bringing the white cylinder to her muzzle, Clover lit the end with a matchstick and let the flimsy burnt cardboard drift to join the leaf litter of the Revenge. The first inhalation of smoke was like a breath of fresh air, and Clover suddenly realized the cannabis was working to calm her nerves. She hadn’t realized until then that she was actually somewhat nervous about her trek. She couldn’t quite place a finger on what it was to make her feel this way, but she was suddenly aware of it now. Taking a hard, long drag, Clover closed both straw colored eyes and willed her anxieties to flee her. She did not want to be weighted down by inhibitions.

The sun was sinking lower into the sky as she walked, humming to herself as she went. The tunes were both of the past, hymns the souls of Juniper Peace would sometimes get together to sing and play on their array of instruments, and some of the songs Clover had written herself while she had spent her time along living along the Drifter Bay. She was surprised she had not come across another soul yet on her journey, but she wondered if perhaps she might as she drew closer to Halifax, and the packs that bordered it. In the back of her mind, Clover silently wished she might find Harlowe here, for Dahlia de Mai was not far off. But as she had been last been told, it seemed as if Harlowe no longer actually lived in the wolf pack. And still, there was still the peculiar scent she had sworn she had detected when she had met that white wolf from the mountains. Had she really detected Harlowe there? Clover shook her heads, waves of honey twirling over her shoulders as she walked. She could make her way into the Shattered Coast before night fell, but she assumed it might be easier for her to find shelter in the city. So instead of continuing south west, the girl took a minor detour and headed towards the University, where she had not long ago collected all those books for the boy with those enchanting chartreuse eyes.
