Hybrid flicked his ears forward to better hear her as she spoke. He frowned, wondering when his daughter had started calling Inferni a pack. It had always been and would continue to be a clan, no matter how much time she had spent frolicking with the wolves. Apparently a number of the new alleged Lykois had spent some time with wolves. It was bad enough they were peace-loving yuppies. He just didn’t want anyone with his blood to put on such a horrible show. Even if he had never considered Valkyrie his daughter, he still expected certain things from her.
“You’re still young,” he replied gruffly. If she thought a few more months would make her somehow more ‘grown up’ she was mistaken. He couldn’t really say if he had matured much – indeed, he hadn’t known her before and could not compare her with a previous memory. So, he just waited; watching and wondering to see if she had anything else to say. No, he had something to say first. He frowned and added: “why should I let you back here?” He didn’t really care either way. He hadn’t wanted her in the first place and she hadn’t turned out anything like he would have thought. After all, what kind of monster had a child that was full of love and peace? It just didn’t make sense. He didn’t like it.
