ooc;; thank you everyone for being so quick to respond! <33

The quick glance back had told him that Liev had made his way into the woods as instructed. It also ensured that the remaining three wolves were hidden- he say Nyx head to the trees and signal for Alaki (as he was named) to a tree close by. Larkspur appeared to stay were the group had very joined, a smart move from the black man. If they had all headed for the tree side of the slope, there would be no-one to control the other side. As if was, Larkspur had covered that angle by hunkering down into the snow and staying where he was. Teddy was tempted to stop and watch as his hunters melted into the snow, but there were more pressing matters to attend. Giving a final nod in Larkspurs direction, Teddy faced front again and set off over the mountains.

It didnt take him long to move over the rocks and over the tiny valleys the mountain threw at him. As it was they hadn't been a very long way away from the herd in the first place. So it took him less than five minutes to reach the back of the herd. Blue eyes watched Liev's light grey form move through the trees- he was easier to spot in the trunks that Theodore had been amoung the boulders. They had both come to a stop, waiting for the other to make his appearance before they started to move. Teddy revealed himself first, causing a bleat from a spindly looking fawn. It was what he wanted but the irrational reflex to growl at the young animal for blowing his non-existent cover.

Eye contact was the only signal Teddy sent the Russian wolf. And then he was off- throwing his head back in a full howl that shocked the stag and spurred them into motion. The few at the back looked around in bewliderment before they spotted the dark and light wolves just behind them. Teddy flashed his fangs before making a nice and easy lope towards one of the fawns. It wasnt his target, but it was always nice to get the does defensive before they started running. Teddy knew not to go for the strong fawn- they were the future of the herd and the potential meals for them once they were older. However, his mind was distracted once more as the whole group began to move.

As predicted, the two does they targeted were straggling near the back. Larkspurs judgement had been good. Teddy focussed on the smaller of the two as he and Liev drove them back the way they had first come. It was easy once they were moving- they just coursed through the snow like a fast running river. In the few moments Teddy took to realise they had reached the hiding wolves he lunged for the smaller of the two deer. Large jaws caught the animals neck and he plunged to the ground with the deer kicking and squealing in his wake. Larkspur would have to move quickly to get to the deers legs before Teddy was seriously injured.
