The world kept changing in his greedy palms, and he knew better than he had mere weeks ago. That was how things were supposed to turn, and he could feel his flawed character take form under his skin, the mortal exterior that would soon possess the aptitude to fool those who strayed from grace and found him alluring. It was lovely to feel the slight itch of black feathers emerging amongst pale fur; to listen to the splintering from within as his body changed. Far from perfect, but time was his to command, and he knew that a voice would rise to guide him when time was ripe. He remained a caterpillar, wrapped tightly within his cocoon, but one day..
Today was not a particularly beautiful day, but the cold never seemed able to bite through his wolfish fur, and so he remained more or less indifferent about the chilly façade the world was throwing as winter was roaring towards its end. Days were slowly turning brighter, but the earth had yet to change its pace with this new change, and the coldest season remained for now. Again, the youth had found his optime form, waling on two lengthy limbs, unconsciously following a recent track from a creature he associated with delicious lust and devious sin. The scene would turn out to prove ironically similar to the previous, though it was he that found her within the hollow shells of a human home.
He hesitated as deep scarlet found their desired focus, and waited for sky blue to reveal recognition. And then—what? What did he wish to see within those eternal blue? Pale blonde coat rose quietly, but it made little difference as air whipped about his still form. She had helped him open Pandora’s Box—was she aware of this fact? She could not unsettle him any more, for she had shown him her art. ”Still cold?” he wondered, hovering by the hollow entrance where no obstacle met him. Poor thing, but why would she stray into such weather if she was unable to cope?
