she had disrobed, and she was waiting on the floor

Itachi Lykoi had known this for a while now; that he was unable to process matters in a way that seemed abnormal to the society he was part of. It was mandatory for him to learn from mistakes—no matter if he thought them right—for he was not ready to greet the world on his own two feet. The lanky youth had found a preference for solitude early in his childhood, but he was not ready to sever existing ties with the world, and he did not think he ever could. Take the fairytale princess with her silver locks and cerulean depths; wouldn’t it be a shame if he never was to know anything like her ever again? While his stance was calm and spoke of indifference, it did not necessarily have to be the truth.

The fallen Prince did not like the words the girl spoke, and liked the incoming ones less and less as they tumbled from her seductive lips. They were not sounds with meaning that he wished to hear. Light blonde ears leaned against the soft hues of his skull in automated response as she outright revealed to him that what they had done was a mistake. How could it be? The youth heard the pixie’s words, but did not want to listen. Yet there was no way he could detest the sweet song of her voice, like silver bells whispering on a morning breeze. She was not for him, she said. Discontentment settled on his features, and the taste was indeed bitter.

It mattered little that she had settled before him and decreased their distance. She told him no, and he knew he had lost something he had never owned. That was how it was with little song birds, they flew away eventually because they were free spirits. With thoughts circling her most recent words, he did not try to understand what she meant with the word different. Yes, he could very well have been a murderer by now, and he guessed it would only be fitting if she told him he was an abomination. He watched blushing fingers settle above the angel heart he had once felt thundering against his palm. Did she mean that he had one? With no thought of the possibility that he was misinterpreting something, the young wolfen form of the male stood up from his lonely seat.

Ashes to ashes, he thought. He had no heart. Turning his deep rubies from her form, he started to pace away, wishing no further interaction with this scene and the girl that seemed to want him gone from her life.
