Yay :3 Finger crossed he continues to play nicely ^^

The sound of movement broke the silence that had fallen upon the river; the crunching of foot steps across the blanket of white snow alerted him of an animal’s approach. He opened one eye to locate whatever was responsible for the noises. It didn’t take him long to find the source of the sound; a few paces up ahead, through the trees, emerged a dainty, petite black wolf. Her coat standing out like a sore thumb amongst the snow he mused, much like his own dark coat. As she approached he opened his other eye, following the female’s movement. His eyes narrowed slightly, his jaw tightening. Who was she and what did she want?

As she called out a greeting him merely stared at her with eyes devoid of emotion. He knew in his head that he should be wary of the newcomer, that he should respond to her, that he should do something. But he didn’t, he just sat there and stared at her with his cold, blue eyes. What did it matter? If she decided to ring his neck it would solve him some trouble, if she wanted company? He wasn’t good company.

Staring at the female he wished for her to leave; he was not in the mood to humour another and go through the pleasantries of making an acquaintance. In fact, he wasn’t in the mood for anything. Hrmph, he was being such a pathetic baby these past few days. Looking back at similar situations he thought about how he’d normally react when encountering a stranger; normally he would have assessed the situation and most likely engaged in conversation. Sighing, he tried his best at what was meant to be a welcoming smile; it was a start.

Logically, sulking around and crying in a corner wasn’t going to get anything done; aside from increasing his depression. Just now he’d stumbled upon a perfect chance to take a break from self pity, to meet someone new, to socialize, to do something. So why wasn’t he leaping right in? Why? Because he missed Jay so much that it hurt? He didn’t need Jay to live his life; Jay had abandoned him. Why should he be so dependent on someone like that? He shouldn’t, he should do whatever the he wants to do and become whoever he wants to be. A spark of emotion flared up in him; a rebellious one. Why be so hung up on the dead, now that they are gone they can no longer tell you want to do, you can make decisions for yourself!

His head finally back in the game he began to asses the female in his usual manner; the female was in her optime form, seemingly unarmed and half his size; she didn’t pose much of a threat. Once he was certain of his own safety he decided to humour her with a response.

“’Sup” he called out, cocking his head to one side “Anything I can do for you or are you just enjoying the view” the last part hinted to a duo meaning; did she like looking at him or did she like the pleasant mountain side. See? He was being nice and social. A grin spread across his lips, a grin filled with mischief and humour. “I’m Alaki, by the way. And whom may you be, oh Miss little black wolf?”
