OOC One... two... Nuki's comin' for you! haha Was that an intentional Freddie reference?? You are winsauce! WC 577

The boy never told anyone about her. She knew because no one came looking.

At least, if Danali had told someone about meeting a stranger at the pack's borders that day they must have trusted the good things he had to say about her. Yet judging from experience someone always eventually came just as a precaution. She had seen no one since the day she met the stout pup, and that told her his ignorance could be trusted.

Nuki decided to stay in the area for a few days after meeting the boy on the outskirts of Crimson Dreams. She was still getting her bearings in this new, ripe continent and wanted to obtain a comprehensive understanding of each territory before she moved on to the next. Sines no one came to drive her away from this place and she had gained a tentative ally, she lurked about the snow laden borders.

Nuki despised the packs that littered this cursed land, but found that so far there was less warring than there had been in End World. She had come here hoping to escape all organized government completely, but much to her dismay found more archaic packs. The rumors in End World were all lies. Still, she began to realize that this might work out to her benefit after all. There were no rioting street gangs to speak of... so far... and this might make it easier to insinuate herself into a pack and utilize their organization to her gain. She would have to be crafty about it, but it was well within her abilities, she knew.

Her head jerked up at the sound of someone running through the brush. Paws crunched icy snow and snapped twigs, trampled through small bushes. Her ears cupped and swiveled, listening to the approach of an unseen creature. I was wrong, she thought. The little brat squealed. She snorted at her own ignorance, a hand poorly played. Now she would have to deal with someone, most likely dispatch them then kick rocks before the rest of the pack discovered the remains. A low growl rasped in her throat.

She tucked the small pelt she was curing into the leather belt around her waist and slung her bow off her shoulder. Her many packs were laid out around her and she had been taking a respite. At the rate this person was approaching she would have no time to grab her possessions and sneak away, they would have to be personally dealt with. Crimson eyes scanned the wooded area around her before surveying the branches up above. One limb looked particularly capable of supporting her weight. With a leap, she snatched the tree branch and swung up into the tree. She grabbed an arrow from the quiver and lined up her shot, aiming for the place she anticipated the creature to appear.

She took aim with one eye closed and pulled the arrow back, eyes trained on the spot. But she loosened the tension on her bow when the person slipped through the trees. It was a familiar form. Aside from Argul, there was only one person she knew here.

“Denali!” she called harshly from her perch in the tree, then regretted it immediately. He may have someone with. Too late now, time to play the game. “Denali, what are you doing?” She softened the harshness of her voice. “I thought you were a bear, I almost shot you!”
