Kesho was patrolling again, his ears, eyes, and nose all concentrated on those borders as he followed their perimeter. He was familiar with it's length, having traveled it daily, almost habitually, obsessively. If no one else, he alone would keep those dirty wolves from sticking their noses around here. He had only seen one, so far, though. Shawchert had been lucky that Kesho had allowed him to escape.

The man turned his head into a breeze that caught him as he walked. There was a stranger's scent upon it, quite nearby. Something about the scent seemed familiar, but it had lied to him. Following the smell on two legs he walked along the borderline, glancing through crimson eyes up and down the land, hoping to rest them upon the figure whose scent was on his nose. As he passed the various skulls, his large fingers caressed each one with a deviously gentle sort of touch. He was proud of all of those skulls, despite none of them having been brought by him. He would contribute very soon, he knew.

The long guard hairs on his back bristled warily; what if this was the scent of a wolf? Surely they would learn their place. But as he neared, he noticed that the canine's shape was nowhere near large enough to be wolven, and so he relaxed slightly. Dark eyes narrowed as he placed a hand over his brow, neck and head craning upward to get a better view of the woman behind the decorated border. Kesho approached with a casual sort of confidence that he wore well, his red eyes glancing into hers briefly before he looked her up and down. There was something so familiar about her, and it wasn't just her scent.

"Woman," he said, his voice rough. "You do know these lands belong to Inferni?"

Kesho paused; as he'd been watching her, something clicked in his brain, and he realized that it was Gabriel whose resemblance she bore without flaw. Oh, joy, more family is just what we need, he thought grumpily. Then again, maybe he was judging her too soon. It was very possible she was not related at all. With Inferni's track record for keeping family so close, though, why would he doubt his well-sharpened instincts?

"What is your business here?"

His blunt question spoke for itself. He did not care to hear her life's story, and hoped she would not share it. If she was a relative of Gabriel, there was no doubt she would be permitted inside, whether Kesho liked it or not.
