Now you see why i asked permission to pick her up ^^

A dark furred hand lightly touched the rough wall of the tunnel, gently moving over it as he walked along, feeling the irregular bumps as upon the wall’s surface. The tunnels were dark as usual; hard to navigate through unless you were familiar with them. And if you weren’t, there’d be trouble. Maybe a pit fall would work best in a dead end, he mused as he relocated the rope and various other tools, which were sliding down his arm back onto his shoulder. As he moved them, something snagged at a few stands of his hair, causing his skull to throb a little; he wished he’d put his hair up now. A light breeze drifted through the tunnels, coming in from one of the emergency exits, as it reached him it carried a light scent of blood. Instinctively he checked both his bandaged arms, to make sure he hadn’t re-opened any wounds, but the bandages where clear. It wasn’t him, but someone or something was injured up ahead. He paused, considering whether or not he should fetch Demi, the healer. But he couldn’t risk it; he hadn’t gotten a good enough sniff to determine what was up ahead.

Dropping his tools down to one side he continued down the main tunnel, darks ears swirling around, trying to pick up any sound. No one was normally on this side of the cave; the other pack members had selected caves on the opposite side to his, which suited him just fine. The privacy was nice, at times.

Turning the bend he glanced at Selene and jumped back a few steps; hid himself against the wall. Why am I hiding? He questioned himself, but he did not move. Instead he remained still, observing her. What was wrong with her, where was she injured? The scent of blood was on her, but incredibly light; maybe she’d just got back from hunting, blood doesn’t always mean someone’s injured, but he was still worried.

He moved off the wall slightly, ready to head over to her. He liked Selene; she was incredibly, suspiciously, kind. But he couldn’t help but like her, and that frustrated him to no end. But before he had a chance to reveal himself she spoke. Cold blue eyes narrowed as he listed to her degrading herself, why? She wasn’t stupid, contrary she seemed remarkably smart to Key. Why would she be so harsh upon herself?

Temporarily distracted by her words, he almost didn’t re-hide himself before she moved forward. Hugging to the walls he continued to watch, a confused thrown deepening into his face. The white female dropped down to her feet and picked up a sharp looking stone, slotting it into her gris gris. Puzzled by her actions he gave up observing, scolding himself for spying on someone, and began to walk over to her. As he reached two to three paces away he looked down at the female.

Every muscle in his body bunched up and tensed, he stood there perfectly still staring down at her legs; across them were varying cuts of length and depth. His muzzle dew back, wrinkling up to reveal sharp white teeth. He could feel his anger flaring up; his throat vibrating more and more by the minute. Of all the things and of all the people he would not have associated Selene with self harming; but she was. His bottom jaw fell open as he let out a growl of pure fury; deafening his own ears in the process. The confusion on his face was replaced by dark anger, directed at the situation more so then Selene. How had things gotten so bad to the point where she was self-harming, why was no one interfering, why was no one helping her?!

He bent down and scooped Selene up in his arms without saying a word. Once he had a secure grip on her; careful not to touch her legs, he turned tail and stormed back to his room. There he knew he had things to give her basic first aid and, well. He wasn’t to sure what to do afterwards. All the while back to his room he let out a low growl; a constant rumble to let out his building anger, his grip on her tightened as he continued to storm through the tunnel, giving no consideration to his already injured arms.

When he reached his room he shifted Selene so that she was in one arm and moved forward; pushing aside his curtain door. To the side, he placed Selene down upon the stool he’s made and steps back. He was shaking all over and still growling, struggling to get control of himself he turned his back to her; unable to remain calm and look at her. “How long” he asked, his voice eerily devoid of emotion, but his eyes betrayed him; so full of pain and sadness. He didn’t understand, why was he so upset over this?

His nails sunk into his palms as he clenched his fists, letting out a long sigh he finally stopped his growling and turned to face her. He walked over, bending down to check the wounds. They weren’t that deep thankfully, but they hadn’t been treated. He got back up and moved over to his storage box and begun rummaging through it to find a flask of water and some bandages; he was no doctor, but he could at least clean them a bit and bandage them up.

Pulling the items out of the box, he looked up to Selene and lifted the bandages and water. “Best you treat them, I’m no doctor but it’d be better than leaving them alone”. His expression was a controlled neutral; but inside his emotions were running amok. It infuriated him how little control he seemed to have around Selene; he’d even spectacularly fallen right in front of her before he recalled, the memory embarrassing him all over again. Why, what was it about her that made him this way? But for now, he’d best apologize he decided.

“Sorry about that, don’t know what came over me” he sheepishly said to her. He hoped she wouldn’t be angry at him for, well. Kinda kidnapping her and going all big bad wolf.
