Temo padded up to Jace and sniffed the ground and scent markers of another territory. He lowered his haunches to the ground and looked up at the sky. He studied the sky, noted how the sky had a greenish cast showing the coldness of the air at altitude. He sniffed at the cold wind that whipped around them and smelled the cold moisture that heralds a coming snowfall.
After reflecting on her question for a few moments, and decided that he missed the camaraderie and friendships of a pack and it would be nice to have a pack to belong to again after the long months of trekking across the country. Temo looked over at Jace and seeing the longing in her eyes, "Yes, we can join." He looked back up to the sky, felt the cold and knowing what she knew, that the weather was turning for the worse, "If they seem hesitant, maybe they would be willing to let us shelter with them for a while before a final decision is made."
Temo glanced behind himself at a couple of bundles, the remaining meat, carefully wrapped in sections of the hide, from the moose they brought down earlier and got their fill from. "We could offer our meat to them as a token of our friendship and gratitude.”
