Jace settled onto her hindquarters, her arms encircled her legs, pulling them to her chest. She wags her tail slightly as Temo approached, wagging it a bit faster as he agreed with her, the ‘thump thump’ of it against the ground filling her ears. She considered her life thus so far and decided that she had spent the time in the best way that she could have done, she had honed her hunting skills even if she was no longer in possession of her ancestral hunting knife, a loss that she mourned dearly; Temo had been teaching her how to read the human language, something she didn’t excel at but made a passable progress. She wondered whether or not her birth-pack would be proud of her.

She snapped out of her musings and turned to Temo at his suggestion before looking at the rawhide sling they had constructed from the moose’s own skin to carry the excess meat,

“That sounds like a good idea, and from the looks of the weather it might be a help.”

Jace lapsed back into thought for a few seconds before raising her maw to the clouded sky and unleashing upon the world; for those who would wish to know, a soft lilting, mournful howl that spoke of the extreme north, short bleak summers and long harsh winters, she flicked an ear to the side as she heard Temo join in the respectful request for attention from the residing pack.
