Snow was a magical thing through the orbs of the bi-eyed pup. When ever it was in the actual process of coming down, it seemed to drift and dance- putting on a show for all those who feasted their eyes upon it. For Range Soul, this process was especially amazing. So absolutely intriguing, in fact, that he found himself unable to contain his urges.

When the storm first began, it was a glorious sight- Even though he had been watching it through the stained windows in Gideon's house. For once, he did not care where his sister was. Nor what activity his father was engaging in. The scene was almost as perfect as a picture you would see on a postcard. Range stood up on his two back legs, steadying himself by placing his two front paws on the sill. A mesmerized look was painted across his face, his pupils becoming larger as he tried to take in the lovely performance that was taking place in front of him. The pup yearned to be outside with the flakes.. In the boy's mind, the snow crystals were not that different then himself. The flakes did not have long to express each of their distinct personalities, and for that reason, each one of the crystals did a different dance. Some swayed to more of a classical tune.. Zigzagging back and forth like many of the others, but then adding a funky twist by swirling and going off track. "Just like us.." Range never seemed to dance to his own beat. But every once and a while, he added some thing unexpected. Doing things just to bring himself pleasure, or saying some thing just to get it off his chest. But no matter how hard he tried, his independence just didn't shine through enough for his liking.

It could be said that it was this way of thinking that caused the boy to nudge open the door. His feelings of being overly-dependent could also be to blame for 'making' him slip past the portal. And if one was very wise, they could easily assume that both of these things were what urged him start running- Leaving the door slightly open. He had to work unsurprisingly hard to fight back against the harsh winds. His mind screamed at him to turn around, but his legs would not obey. The once heavenly looking storm was now a blizzard, whipping winds and pelting pieces of hail. If the pup had ever experienced it before; he probably would have compared the experience to being shot. Though the pain was not enough to be considered as much as a 'regular' gun would inflict.. The frozen water vapor and pelting hail were similar to the agony a BB gun could inflict.

Over time the snow became harder and harder to walk through. He was completely exhausted, and his body was working to slow him down. His eyes stung from the cold, feeling almost as horrid as a burn. He panted heavily, slowing down and rolling onto his side. The snow was freezing- literally. But it served almost as a pillow to the tired boy. He was to far to be seen from the comfort of his home, and rescue seemed almost impossible. He tried to imagine the look of Gideon's face when they brought his body back after the storm, hoping it would help him gain some motivation. But alas, it was found to be false hope. His lids fell over his orbs, covering his stinging eyes with a blanket of darkness. His body slipped into a sleep like state, going almost completely limp- leaving only his furious shivering and hagged breaths to continue.
