Through the howl of furious winter was another voice, falling in and out until he doubted its very existence. Voices were no longer what they were, for not every whisper had an owner. Conor had never really feared the dark, but it had occurred to him that he had reasons to. Someone was always watching. Caramel coated ears lifted the slightest bit, and there it was again; the voice of another. The male turned his face, but had not been given the change to distinguish the form of the approaching white wolf before the beast ran into his autumn form.

Lips drew from white fangs in the moment of confusion, but tensing shoulders quickly fell as he recognized who this was. So it was her voice that had attempted to travel through the strengthened wind. Limbs shifted slightly as he turned more toward the woman, staying close enough for physical contact in a mild fear of losing her in all the white. ”Siku,” he breathed, voice empowered to reach above the howl of bad weather. ”I’m searching for Range.” Whether the woman knew this name or not did not matter; all she had to know was that there was someone missing. The white woman shouldn’t be out wandering either, but she was an adult free to do what she wished.

The leader turned from the pack member then, continuing in his attempts to trudge through the ridiculous amounts of crystallized water. Lilac seemed to catch a glimpse of a contrasting colour against white, and eyes narrowed instantly with desperation. Adjusting his direction, he started to force his way towards the point where he had believed himself to see hope. ”Range?”
