Others came, from the exotic Sepirah to the older Kesho, and Talitha was more than willing to give them space to help save the elderly coyote woman. Her paws hollowed out a smaller area, her underweight body fitting into a space between the larger bodies of her father and the old coyote that enabled her to take a part of their contributions as well. Kesho seemed to have a better idea than the rest of them, using his weight as a battering ram against the packed wall. She admired his concern for her silver grandmother.

It was the appearance of her cousin that caused irritation to bubble over her determination. Unlike Sepirah, who had thundered into the thick of the work, the blue-eyed female hung back and spoke through the wall instead. The Lykoi's black-rimmed ears fell back in frustration as the younger female paced behind them. "Shut up and help dig or go away and be useless somewhere else," she hissed, taking a leaf out of Kesho's attack and slamming her slender body into the thick wall. It was no time for friendly family chatter.
