Snowstorm Thread - Round up the Pack

OOC here: Phew. Tongue Thank the lord for the Superbowl putting me online.

Valinta sat in her treehouse worridly as the wind whipped around and howled. Her tree swayed with her in it, and the already nausous female felt horribly ill. Small pangs kept occuring around her baby, and it worried her even more than the winds, because Valinta would be damned before her baby was harmed, or even worse, killed. And early labor would most definetly be harmful to her child. Which was why it was not allowable.

Bracing herself against the chill wall, Valinta stood up, her breath puffing out in white whisps. Daring to look out the window, her eyes widened at all the snow. Surely that wasn't safe... Valinta decided that she would have to leave. J'adore was gone, somewhere, doing something, so he'd have to try and find her. Valinta hoped that he wouldn't be stuck outside, and could make it somewhere safe.

Then she heard the howls. From Shawchert, they were deep and... Frantic. Panicky. Valinta knew immediately, deep in her gut, that something was wrong. The pack was in danger, and she had to get out of her house right away. Grabbing a small doll, and checking that her necklace was still on her, Valinta carefully stepped onto the branch just outside the doorway. Sliding down, and digging into the bark with her claws, Valinta made it down the tree without managing to injure herself or fall.

Turning around, Valinta huffed as she trudged through the snow. A minute later, she heard a loud cracking sound, and turned to see her tree slowly tilting, and then fall with a crash. If she had left a minute or two later than she did, Valinta would be dead. Clutching her necklace, she rubbed it with her thumb and prayed J'adore was safe. Lifting her feet as high as she could, she trudged through the snow that was up to her waist as quickly as she was able. The added weight from the baby made it hard, but gave her determination.

Making it into Thornbury, Valinta saw a fire, barely, through the window of Sky's house. Leaning forward, she wrapped her hands around her stomach, still holding the doll, and crossed a small boulevard to the stone house. Shaw was on the porch, and she breathed a sigh of relief. If the strong alpha was there, she believed she would be safe. The others there, Skye, Bangle, Sankara, and two males she'd never met before looked as scared as she did. Or maybe they didn't but the wind and snow made it seem like that to her. She was told to go inside, and would glady comply. Opening the door, Valinta just about fell into the home, panting, eyes wide and almost hysterical. Her bottom half was completely white with snow, her upper half not much better. Immediately going to a window, going against her instincts to stay away from them, Valinta stared out and tried to see through the storm for J'adore. She was out of her mind with worry for him.
