Ouija was working in the hunting lodge as he had been doing day after day. He always had some project or another that he was working on. He continued to bring in pelts to work on just to always have something to do. With the pile in the lodge having grown large he had taken a good number of the pelt back to his den. He wasn't saving them for himself of course. No, he had pack them away in order to trade them off once he had a few of each different type. He still wasn't sure what to trade for exactly but he had spoken to another about it and had an idea of what to do. Now he was just making sure that he had enough to distribute, as well as having enough variety. He had no idea what others would end up wanting because he had never tried to talk anyone into taking and trading for what he made. He was more used to someone else coming to him with their ideas or work that they wanted done.

He was all around the lodge with his work. He moved up and down the stairs with the pelts. The ones that had been stretched and were ready he was taking down. He brought these down to place on place on the pile that he was building up again. The pile was mainly the pelts of the smaller animals that were active all winter long. Mainly those of hares and ermines. They were simply the most active because of their change in coats helping them blend into the snow.

Once he gathered up all of the finished pelts and piled them up he started to work on the ones that still needed attention. He ignored the creaking of the lodge, having grown used to the sounds and also because he focused on his work. He was downstairs when the roof ended up caving in. He glanced up to it, finding it unexpected. Still it was only minor damage and didn't prevent him from working. Though it had him moving the pile of furs and adjusting his work area in case the landing of the second floor decided to come crashing down as well. Even though it was probably silly to stay he simply couldn't leave a job half done if there was nothing to keep him from completing it. All of the damage was above him and the rest of the structure seemed stable so he felt relatively safe. Still he had shifted things as a just in case measure. He only figured it to be a worn roof that needed to be replaced and not some fierce storm. After all it had been snowing all throughout the winter so why should this be any different? He certainly didn't imagine it as such. The roof would just have to be patched once the snow ended and that was it. At least that is what he imagined that it would turn out to be and end up happening.
