Stable snow storm thread. No posting order.

She had stayed home since the accident, to afraid to venture outside. In the few days she was bed ridden, Ever had wondered who was tending to the stables while she was on a unofficial absence. Her broken wrist and constant waves of fevers would not enable her to feed or groom like usual. Yet still, the thought worried her that it was possible no one had come to their aid since the storm.

It was nearly as cold, if not colder than the first time the girl had left the house. She reached down slightly to pull the covers closer to her face and breathe in the musky scent, opening her eyes when her breath was flooded back towards her. Her wrist and legs were stiff from lack of use and she had been left alone long enough.

The sun was at its noon point and Ezra had left to help with the patrol she could no longer attend, leaving his side of the bed cold for hours. She was bored right down to her bare toes and knew she needed to do something before she went stir crazy. First things first, the horses.

Ever chose a scarf and sweater and pulled the frozen door open and closed. The outdoors was nearly indistinguishable under the growing blanket of white. It was still snowing too. Flakes fluttered down in a weather dance, twirling like fog from the clouds. Ever shivered, rubbing her hands in the plaid scarf as the wind raked through the territory. She limped into the trees and started on the safest route towards the stables.

The temperature continued to steadily drop although the girl remained warmer inside the shelter of the trees. It seemed to take forever to get to the weathered barn than usual since she was on foot and frozen ground. She didn’t bother to call Saphraine, since she knew she would meet with him some time. As soon as he realized she was no longer in the shack, he tracked her down, and together they eventually made it to the stables together.

It was of horrible sight and sound. Most of the already teetering shingles had been tripped off and she could see a broken window towards the back. But the most important factor was that snow had piled in drifts in front of each door. Shuffling and pained whines came from inside.

Ever slipped off her steed with his assistance and hobbled over to the front door. She gazed into a window but it was thickly frosted over, making it impossible to make out details. So she started digging her left paw in the snow and scooping away small dishes of snow away. It was exhausting after days of sitting in bed. After a moment she had to stop and rest, both of her wrists throbbing and her fingers numb.

She sighed tiredly and watched it spindle from her lips. But the sounds inside forced her to continue more even though her right hand was useless and her bruised rib caused a great deal of discomfort. It was obvious she needed help and Ever pleaded that someone would per chance decide upon checking like she did.
