She was getting very impatient, especially with the cold wind riding up her fur. She was not a very happy puppy right now… and any reason why could be seen in her huddled form. She was as close to the trunk as she could be, with a sour look on her face that had it’s own words. Those being… this was not funny. She relaxed a little when his tone changed and she could see him climbing up now. He watched as he moved his hands to pull himself up and couldn’t help but admire him… he was so cool to be able to do that, and she wished she could do that now… but first she had to get out of this stinking tree. She wagged her tail as he came up closer to her and pulled her into his arms, and she felt much more relieved and secure in his arms. Then they began to descend and she felt worried, what if they fell? This made her push herself further on her cousin and hoped that he didn’t drop her… or he didn’t make a misstep, but once she could see his feet land on solid ground she let her tense body loosen up and she looked at Saul.

She said matter of factly, letting her tail wag wildly happily as she expressed this. She now admired the older male even more! He’d been there to help them get out of the house in the nasty storm and now here he was to help her out of that stupid tree.
There was something that cwimed it and I wanted to see what it was…
She said making him skip the inevitable question she knew would be asked… she wanted to know what it was that had made those marks in the snow, it wasn’t like her daddies or mommies or anyone she knew, so it must have been some strange creature… whatever it was… it was gone now.
