It had nearly been a month since Denali’s disappearance, her adoptive brother could have been anywhere. She had looked for him once, though could not really find him, even with the help of Tala. So she headed in the direction of two packs that were possible. She’d heard that Malachi, Denali’s friend lived near the newer of the two pack lands, but she didn’t think he went there, but she had to try. Amata was in the forest now, thick with the branches of dormant trees and the needles of the pines that scattered throughout the forest. She was not being that quiet, though she saw no reason to unless she was hunting, in which case she was not. Not in the way she needed to be quiet. She called out Denali’s name a few times but only a few as she moved closer and closer to the Dahlian borders, what if he took refuge in that pack? She wonder and took it upon herself to start heading that way.

It took her longer than she’d expected, but she was hoping for some good results. So at the border of the pack lands itself she was hesitant. What if this was for nothing? What if she found he didn’t stay here for the winter? Her mined eased herself, thinking… it was one less place mother would have to look if she ever started a search. Taking a deep breath she sang to the sky, her howl was not the most used ability she had, but when she did howl, it always meant something. Standing near the boarders, she hoped, preyed and wished she would have some kind of luck finding her adoptive brother. Any hope that he was alive even. If he’d stayed there for the storm, that would be enough for her to breath easy, but she was expecting a lot, and she had to be ready for the worse, which was that they did not even know how he was.
