Jace stared up at the dark sky with its twinkling stars and its milky fat moon, she was lost in her thoughts. She was a thoughtful woman, drawing energy from her ability to simply sit and reflect on her life, her actions and the actions of those around her, friend or foe alike. She remained in her statue like stare for a long while until the urge to run took hold of her. Shifting swiftly to her lupus form she set off at great speed wanting to expend some of the energy that had woken her up so early in the morning.

The grass and earth felt good against her paws, the wind blowing against her face made her feel alive and kicking. She charged through the undergrowth and bushes, leaping over those too small to crawl under and crawling under those too big to leap over. She dodged through the trees, making a game of it to see how quickly she could reach the next one and then the one after then. She changed direction and burst out of the forest into a meadow covered in snow. She raced around and round, she couldn't even feel the pain from her leg at all, making rings and patterns in the snow with her running path.

Eventually her running burned of the excess energy that had built up and she flopped down into the snow, rolling in the white flakes like a pup seeing its first winter. She snapped at the snow that got kicked up into the air a huge grin adorning her muzzle as she laughed and played in the snow, trying to reclaim some of the innocence and happiness that she and her sister had shared out on the arctic snow flats. As she thought about her lost twin, tears began to flow down her furred cheeks, the memory of her sisters blood stained torn body making her weep for what she had lost.
