Talitha finds a necklace. Go Talitha.

Her hands went to her hips as he explained the purpose of a boat. She knew the possible reasons for having one. She simply did not understand why it was necessary! Walking, running, swimming. All simple things, all things she enjoyed. A sigh escaped her, shaking her head. "Do they only breed idiots where you're from?" she muttered, not really posing it as a question to the desaturated male. It was rude, she knew, to suggest such a thing, but her irritation knocked over her common sense. When he asked her to check the final shack, she raised one expressive eyebrow, as if to say 'what now?'

Of course, she didn't complain. Slender legs carried her across the land to the final, unopened construct, wondering just what she might find within it. There had been nothing residing in the other two ruined buildings, but clearly something was wrong on the islands. A sigh escaped her lips, fingers reaching out to tug open the door and expecting to find some creature hiding within the walls.

Instead, there was nothing.

She frowned, stepping through the doorway uneasily as she tried to rationalize what she had felt and heard prior to that moment. Another invisible breath whisked across the back of her neck, raising the hairs there to a stiff point. She shook auburn curls around, searching the shack for something that could be the culprit. Crimson eyes settled on a vaguely shimmering item hidden beneath a fine layer of dirt on the ground and she reached down to collect it; sitting on a thin chain was a heavy silver pendant, tarnished from years of exposure, in the rough shape of twisted branches. She glanced back out from the shack, silently tucking the item of jewelry into the waist of her oversized skirt to hide it from her companion.

"There's nothing here, Imacai," she said, returning from her place. Whatever unpleasant phenomenon had overtaken the islands was a mystery to the russet female, and has unintelligible words were once again whispered into black-rimmed ears, she could only think about returning to the mainland. "Are you done with that damn boat yet?"
