Life for Hybrid Holocaust had been rather boring and wholesomely uneventful as of late. He had met an annoying bitch of a wolf and chased her out of Inferni territory, but that had been almost two months ago. He’d even met a new joiner, but even she hadn’t been terribly impressive with her annoying traps and whatnot. So as usual, Hybrid was preparing to make his rounds to survey the borders and ensure there weren’t any other stupid wolves lingering about. After chasing off that annoying white wolf a few weeks back, he’d stepped up his patrols in the parts of Inferni that were closest to Anathema, but hadn’t encountered anyone else yet. He didn’t believe that she would actually tell the rest of that damned pack to fuck off, so he was surprised he hadn’t encountered anyone else.

Again, he felt like all he did was sigh, hem, and haw. He had no purpose anymore: all he did was wander around; the bored lone guard. He didn’t even think that was true anymore, either: Inferni had plenty of members he would hope would patrol. But even if they did, it wasn’t like there was much to find. He supposed it would probably be a good idea to hunt more often with the other members, but he really did not like them. So instead, he did what he could with the few that did not disgust him and managed to scrape by well enough.

He stared out over the weird pools of frozen ground, wondering what they were. In the summer, they were water, but in the winter, they were slippery and cold. He remembered when Gabriel had ventured onto one before – Hybrid had paid the price for enjoying the silly show and as a result, he didn’t take too kindly to those pale blue pools of whatever they were. He sneered and then began to loop around them, heading north to begin his patrol.
