The orange light of sunset greeted the giant as he emerged from the caves, onto level ground despite the mountain's jagged tendencies. A long shadow of the creature - neither prey nor predator - was cast by the horizon, and Viking stood there silently, awaiting his sparring partner. Back was turned against the cave entrance until he heard the boy emerge, and as his single eye adjusted to the difference in light, he noticed the weapon that the boy carried.
A ... sword.
This concerned the foreign fighter for a moment, eye narrowing further as he focused intently on the weapon the other now gripped firmly. An axe versus a sword..? Viking never had to fight anyone with a different weapon other than what he himself carried, save for Theodore, meeting through the exchanging of blows rather than words. Viking grunted, slightly disappointed but the boy wanted to learn, nonetheless. As King was taught, there was no other way to teach someone something but to simply do it.
With his axe, the giant motioned for the other male to stand across from him, a few feet away. Drawing the axe back towards himself, Viking tilted his weapon to its side, both hands now firmly gripping the leather-bound handle. He thrust it outwards, a few feet away from his toned body, his stance firm and his body square - a sign of respect from one warrior to another.
