To the warrior, there was nothing on this earth that was more exhilarating than hearing the clash of steel on the wind. Nothing invigorated one's body or put it to use so much as when in combat, muscles aching and burning to achieve victory. It was in the bone stained male's very name, a guardian of victory shadowing before a young, golden stranger. Though a life wouldn't be taken with the vanishing of the day, it was no less real. Already the colossal male could feel his blood pumping, single eye sharpened as he watched the male give his own, subtle sign of respect. Viking was not one to judge, nor did he care, feeling the entire weight of his axe as he gripped it firmly in his right hand. His fingers pulsed, and the fur on the back of his neck prickled in anticipation; knowing all too well that the cue of the battle began as soon as the boy's hand on his sword tightened.

Amidst the onlooking, orange sunset, the giant shadow suddenly pushed off, heading for the golden one as if to vanquish the very light of the sun itself. King wanted to see what the boy could do before he would tell him anything, ears alert and single eye blazing in attention to the young warrior's skill. The long, faded shadow of the colossus could be seen hefting his newly sharpened weapon to swing it sideways, aiming for the boy's side.

It was unknown how effective this training session would be, but in the giant's eyes, he did not expect the boy to go easy on him despite the difference in size, age, and experience. Any blood to be drawn or bones to be broken weren't things of concern to the male with the antlered helm, whose teeth clenched in effort as he aimed to make the first blow.
