It was dark, but his sharp apple-green eyes adjusted quickly, pupils swelling within the lime hue to suck up as much light as possible. He moved with a practiced air of reluctance and familiarity, stretching out long limbs and yawning widely. "Good morning," Voice was dry and sarcastic, but the empty cave didn't seem to mind. With a long-suffering sigh, the lanky ocher-pelted male padded from his chamber and out into the corridor.

It was too early for much stirring within the pack - Although concealed from him by a thick layer of compact earth, the coywolf instinctively knew that the sun had yet to peak. His large paws, fitted to long legs and a lean frame, were silent on the scuffed earth. Following the dark path with the ease of auto-pilot practice, Sirius was quick to find himself amidst the scent of the beasts belonging to the pack. The horses stirred at his approach but remained silent - This was not the first time that the handsome male had appeared at such an abnormal hour, and he doubted with cynical resignation that it would be the last. Eris, although competent after his labors in teaching her, still had a lot to learn in the ways of hunting.

Used to the routine, the lanky chocolate male settled down on his haunches to wait for his bulkier ebony companion. The horses, big dumb animals that they were, would alert him to her presence when at last she arrived, and they would secret out the entrance together. His eyes glowed, luminous, in the erstwhile darkness - Large coyote ears dished lackadaisically forward, an expression of dishevelled impatience drawn across handsome features.
