[M] Nothing left to Die
#4
His ears twitched as he heard a noise. Then the roar came, he turned his head. He wondered if he could take this wolf, as he rose. But when he rose, he gave himself his own answer as he winced, still in some pain from his wounds. They were deep and large; they would take time to heal. He was lucky to even be alive. He realized he had no real chance of winning this battle, not in his condition. His lips defiantly curled as a growl erupted from his throat. He was playing that he was going to take the female wolf head on. He wasn’t much of a talker, and therefore spit no vile words of mockery towards her. Instead, he had something much worse planned, and then an escape. He could not conceive of any other viable choice in his situation.

He grasped the pup carcass a little tighter. He brought his arm back and suddenly flung it forward. He threw the carcass at the female wolf and turned to run. He always stayed in optime form, so if his little distraction did not work, he would not be out running her. He tried to keep an eye on his back as he ran. Every step hurt and ached. Pain of wounds that were beginning to tear and open again shot through his body. Was this his end? All the things he has done and he’s going to get killed because he got caught with a corpse, he didn’t even enjoy old dirty corpses. He preferred them fresh.
