The house was always so, so warm. It made Siku dream of clouds, flowers and warm lakes. She saw many things in her dreams. It was so easy to rest when you were not in the cold. A soft sigh escaped Siku as she stretched out, still half asleep. The white faced Dahlian enjoyed random cat naps, they awarded her with frequent bursts of energy to go about the day with. Usually Saul was out and about during the day, busy with things. Siku did not mind. She had taken to patrolling as well as exploring. Still muddled in thoughts, Siku guessed it was morning and she was with her Saul. Rolling over, the woman sought for said friends warmth unconsciously. However, all the petite woman found was empty air in her paws, and golden eyes slid open as Siku lazily searched for her companion. Nose to the air for a moment, Siku wondered what she was doing asleep at such a late time of day. Not planning to move for awhile yet, a dreamy faced Siku became wide awake as she heard the door push open and then close again. He was home now.

Stretching once more before leaving Saul's room, she was lazy in her movements until she noticed something. Siku could smell that there was someone else there as well. Ears pricked forward as curiosity developed, and Siku quickened her pace as Saul called for her. There was a desperation to his voice, and their close bond made her immediately aware that something was wrong. I need you!. The short exclamation explained everything, and Siku mentally prepared herself as she came around the corner. He was in the spare room, his new surgery room. It could only mean that someone was hurt, and Siku took a soft breath before stepping inside. "I'm here.." She whispered softly, golden eyes sliding from her companion to the bundle of life in his hands.

"What?.. the hell happened.." Golden eyes were nearly large as dinner plates, delicate voice breaking in Siku's throat as she swiftly but quietly approached the young innocent. There was something seriously wrong, and Siku could only thank fate for putting Saul on this planet as she attempted to define what was hurt on the poor child. Unable to handle it at first, a snowy hand gripped the surgery table with great force as Siku felt herself sway. Taking a moment to breathe, Siku turned to Saul and felt herself relax slightly. He knew what he was doing. 'He knows what he's doing.' The woman's mind raced as she watched the man work swiftly, trying to calm her distress. It was hard for her, the urge to help the puppy overwhelmed her and she could only tremble anxiously as Saul worked. "I'm here." She repeated, voice steadier as she moved closer to Saul. She was calm now, golden eyes hard and concentrated as Siku focused on the well being of the stranger in front of them. To do help rather than harm, the woman held herself together and waited for instructions as to what she could do now. In the back of her mind though, horror tainted concentration. Would the child live?
