Mizu was crying again. Would she ever stop? She thought that by now her tears would have run out. But they still kept coming. When would her life be better? The weird thing was though, that her life was great. She just kept getting replays of all her bad times. She was no longer smoking or drinking and she had a home. She had made a wonderful friend and yet she still thought her life sucked. All the good times she had with her father and her sister were flashing before her eyes, making her miss them even more. The guilt of almost hurting another wolf was heavy on her shoulders. The want to smoke and drink dragged her to the ground. And the feeling of not being needed at Crimson Dreams was painful. These were all thoughts though. Nothing recently had happened to her to make her hurt.
She walked to a place that seemed to be where the dead were kept. There were stones sticking out of the ground that had names and dates on them. Riley White. Age 4. A broken heart the world forgot. Mizu's heart lurched at the words. This young person was only 4 when she died. She knew this was young for humans. What had happened? She shook it off. She wished that she could die. Then she could be put in the ground next to this grave. She could have a stone say her name on it, her age and a saying. Would anyone even care if she was dead? Perhaps Teo? Tears streamed down her face and she collapsed to the ground. Her breath came in short gasps as she struggled with her breath. Her lungs seemed to be filled with water. Maybe she was dying. Good. No one would care anyway. She cried more, it was a scary thought. But it would be better for everyone.
