I'm going to backdate this to April 17! All post will be shorter after this. . . Word Count: 1131!

Shanta had just finished all the chores of a Elan Soquili. The sun had just set a few minutes ago, and a beautiful full moon had risen up and brightened the night. The moon was so beautiful and big, it seemed so close, yet so far. She needed to ride Buck soon, probably tomorrow, she had been neglecting her duties to attempt to break him, having only ridden him a handful of times. She went over to Belle's stall, the young mare looking up to her then coming over. Shanta scratched the mare on her forehead in a circular motion, this was Belle's favorite scratching spot. After a few more minutes of scratching, she made her way to Buck, "Hello there." she whispered to him. He wasn't exactly a young one, but the male was still only entering his Prime years. She reached her hand out, though she did not touch him, she waited for him to come to her, as you are supposed to when training a horse. She waited for a long while, until finally, he reached his nose a bit and rubbed on her hand. She smiled at the male, feeling a bit more upbeat at the thought of her ride with him tomorrow. She then left and checked on the young foal, she had been taking him out daily and running with him. He was, indeed, growing up, getting bigger and stronger each day, soon she would need to saddle him and do some groundwork, but not riding, he was too small. "Good night, little one."

Shanta exited the stables, the building was finally being put back together, though the process was slow, it was getting done. The moons bright light made it almost seem like day. She looked at her fur, her brown fur turning to a silvery brown. Shanta loved the look of it, it was so beautiful. She thought of her silvery blue eyes int his light, what might they look like? She wouldn't know anytime soon, but she did look at her tattoos. Her lotus was a brilliant magenta, shining brightly. Her crescent moons reflected the magnificent light of the full moon. Her tattoos and fur looked amazing, and she loved it. She looked around, it didn't look to dark, but to double check, she looked up, the sky was clear of clouds. She hesitated a second, thinking thoroughly through her plan, then she turned around. She felt so confident and good tonight, she had a feeling it would be a good night. She put down her satchel and picked up Buck's reins and headstall, she stopped for a second, then grabbed a saddle for the male. she went to his stall and he looked at her, his eyes showing a mix of emotions, confusion, excitement, fear, and so many more. She bowed her head slightly to show that she was not going to hurt him, then she approached him. Buck stood still as Shanta put on the headstall and reins, the saddle she lay on his back, he twitched a little, but left it there. She didn't strap it yet, she led the male out the back of the stables to a small round pen. She lay the saddle on the fence and led Buck in. She made sure she stepped in the pen first, showing her higher rank then him.

Shanta was doing some ground work with the male, he was on the outer part of the pen while she was in the middle. She raised one arm and lined up right behind his middle. He started to trot around the edge of the pen, watching everywhere and his ears going to different directions. He thought of her as the predator and he was the prey, he ran from her, speeding up when she sped up, slowing when she did. After making him go clockwise for about ten minutes, she turned, she dropped her left hand, got in front of him, and raised her right arm, Buck stopped and turned in a matter of seconds. Shanta kept him going for a few minutes, watching his eyes and ears. Finally, his attention was on her, she smiled in her victory. She turned back and showed him her shoulder, Buck slowed down, then she showed her back. After a few minutes hesitation, he approached Shanta, touching her gently with his nose. Shanta turned slowly and raised her hand to his face, petting him soothingly. Buck was breathing heavily, which was good, he would have less energy on their ride. She looked at the saddle then shook her head. She led Buck out of the small round pen and then mounted him, he shook a bit, tossed his head over to look at her, then relaxed. Shanta scratched his shoulder kindly and he snorted.

Shanta knew horses were very empathetic, so she cleared her mind. Instead of being worried about dying, she thought about the beautiful night and the gorgeous horse. She looked around and then heeled Buck, he reared up, Shanta braced herself with her thighs, Buck took off galloping. Shanta held onto the reins and Buck's mane, adrenaline rushed through her, she laughed and smiled. Buck seemed as if he was having a good time, too, he was running fast, faster than any other horse Shanta had ever ridden. Then Buck slowed down, she checked her surroundings, she was near a very calm creek. She had heard of it, Adagio Creek, though she had never really been there. Buck came to a stand still and Shanta patted him. She realized that something must be wrong. She slid off his back and led him with the reins. Pulling him to the water, she reached down and cupped some water, drinking it slowly. The cool water coursed through her body, sending cold shocks all over. She felt rejuvenated, she waited for Buck to drink, nodding to him, he slowly drank some water. Suddenly, Buck pulled on the reins and tried to lead Shanta away, she let him. She mounted, once again, onto his back and rode on. However, this time, he was jumpy and a lot harder to handle. Shanta held on and tried to get him to trot, he crow hopped and then took off at a full gallop.

Shanta held on as tight as she could, they got close to the village, it was within eyesight. Buck crow hopped again and Shanta almost lost her grip. She braced herself as he bucked and reared, keeping herself low to Buck and holding his mane. He crow hopped and then bucked, this time, Shanta fell off. Well, it was more like flew. . . She hit her head and cried out loudly. No words came to her, just whines and cries, until finally, she blacked out.
