The moment Alaki broke eye contact, Teo knew he'd won this battle. His tail flicked and curled slightly, out instead of in, showing that he'd won himself a little bit of self confidence. To show this off, and to show off how sure he was that he'd won, he wiggled his hips slightly and that sly smile became almost, ALMOST, gloating. (Like, his eyes crinkled a tiny, tiny bit? That's about it.) He snorted that little 'ch' sound again when he claimed to be an 'upstanding citizen'. Alaki, you're about as upstanding as a fallen tree. Stop spitting horse shit.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the game changed. His voice changed, his obvious tactics changed. Matteo's smile faded, but not in defeat; his expression changed from being boasting and amused, if not a little sly, to curious and intrigued, if a bit cautious. "Well of course, now that you say that, I have to know." He almost sounded pouty there, but he kept his tail curled up and eyes locked on Key's own, despite the very slight uneasy feeling he was suddenly getting. To hide it, he came back at Alaki with a tone that could well have been considered dangerous... or even sultry.
