Conri had taken the time to shift long before Lucifer and Naniko moved out, finding that it would be impossible for him to dig without being shifted. That only brought about another problem though. Having to shift and dig in such a manner would slow them down considerably, which was what the young Leader kept in mind as he rose and moved away from them, leaving them for a moment while they prepared to begin. When he returned Lucifer and Naniko were already headed out for the small herd, so he settled himself near Deuce, rock in hand. With the rock, he began to dig, slamming it down against the surface of the ground at first, to break it up and make it softer and easier for him to dig through. From there, he began shoveling it away, tossing it off to the side, away from the hole and Deuce, the beginning of a small pile of dirt. This was a tactic that he'd never tried before, one that he hadn't ever heard of, honestly, but it did seem like it would work. For such a small group of adults to bring down multiple deer, it would be an accomplishment. |
