+ Lola's tail twitched as she stared into the vast open space in front of her. Vulture's circled above the field of dead grass and weeds. It smelled of rot and burn. Lola wondered how much longer she was going to be able to run with out water. Moving the thought aside, she pushed her weight against the ground and bounded back into her brisk trot, eager to find something to sate her thirst.
+The three dark wolves stood around Lola. She growled at them and the clean white fur on the back of her neck stood on end. Energy flowed through her veins and she knew the stranger's wouldn't stand a chance if they chose to attack her. The black wolf behind her stepped forward, cracking a twig. Lola turned towards the wolf and, distracting him with a snap of sharp teeth near his left shoulder, jumped clear over the confused canine and sprinted away from the clearing, into the thick weave of pine trees.
+A fire sunset coated the sky when Lola finally heard the trickling of water. Her ears pricked up and she set her nose to the air, sniffing it out. It was not long before she was at the edge of a flowing creek. Clear, shining water slipped over rocks that seemed to wriggle in the liquid. Lola dipped her head towards the stream and lapped up a generous amount of water before taking a few breaths and drinking again. Her parched throat was finally back to normal and the sandy feeling on her tongue was washed away promptly. She felt her headache ebb and was surprised at how quickly her body started to appreciate the water. When Lola was finally done at the creek, she decided it was time to find some food.
