The taste of the earthy air was upon her tongue as the young girl meandered through the forest. Her steps were quick, yet light, as if frightened that the darkness which enveloped her would do harm if she lingered. Giselle had only wandered a small ways away from her new pack, never a dull moment to set fresh eyes upon something new. Never had she imagined the world to be so bright, and colorful, and..big. However unexpected she imagined the lands, the white girl was dressed as if each and every day were an elegant gala event. Though 'Elle moved quickly through the uninviting darkness, the little princess was anything but disheveled; her hair kept up perfectly with an assortment of flowers in hues that matched her fantastical get-up. A pale pink and white dress hugged her lithe form, a large satin ribbon tied around her waist; dressed as if she were expecting a gala event.

A childlike concern was evident upon her mahogany-framed face, observing as the towering trees shielded her away from the sun. Oh, how she loved the sun! Giselle needed to find an open place in which to feel its gentle, warm embrace again - like the arms of a brave prince. The fleeting thought alone caused the young girl to sigh, and pause in step for a brief moment. It was interrupted by her companion's sympathetic squeaks. 'Come on, Giselle. We're almost there, I promise!' Tux encouraged her from a nearby tree branch, his small paw pointing ahead of them as his beady eyes blinked down at her. Papa's little princess looked up, and gave a gentle smile. Though she had no prince in her life yet, she knew she could always trust her dear friend to find the light.

Following the stoat, her bare feet pressed upon damp leaves, lining the bottom of her dress in morning dew. Powder blue eyes blinked as shafts of light began to break through the trees, which further pushed Giselle to walk faster, picking up the bottom of her dress in the process. She watched the stoat move like the gentle waves of the ocean from tree branch to tree branch, pausing only to let her catch up. The uneven ground of the forest then leveled out and opened up, as 'Elle brushed past strands of hanging bramble from a tree limb.

Light bathed the small, open clearing, cut apart by a gentle-moving brook. Wild berries and mushrooms dotted the place, untouched by anyone else since their budding. Clasping her hands gleefully, Giselle's face lit up like the sunlight that now touched her pale skin. "Tux, you're wonderful!" She praised the young stoat, who relished in the comment as she brushed past and did a full twirl in the open clearing. Sunlit grass was a welcome change to the dark, damp earth she felt just moments before. The young woman, made her way to the unobstructed brook, untying the dark satchel that she carried on her hip. She sat upon the grass that bordered the water, dress billowing out like a cloud around, setting the bag down next to her. Reaching forward with naturally-gloved hands, she dipped them into the water and brought it up to her lips. The pungent smell of nearby mint added to the cool taste of the water, and the young girl's eyes closed as she took in the refreshing sounds, smells, and tastes of nature itself.
