Mongwau sat upon a branch and waited ever so patiently, visible to none but the expressive eyes of the youngest Amara daughter. They didn't need to wait long. As memories of Kotori Amara faded into nothing, the newly alone Fire Tender found her gaze resting upon a pale creature with eyes the shade of pine trees within the forest. The decorations of the woman, the way she held herself, the markings that gave Chitsa the knowledge of who she was, and the reassurance that this place she came to was indeed the home of her brother. An oil-spill feather was pushed back to be hidden in the braids and locks of her red hair, the woman mulling over the idea of telling this stranger about her identity. It couldn't hurt, could it? Certainly not, for this was her home now and this would be a sister.
"I came to find my brother. Dawali, is he here?" She didn't give the yes-or-no response one might commonly expect to the question asked by the snowy-furred woman. She needed to see her brother before the exhaustion that tugged on the corners of her thoughts left her unable to relay the information that was required of her. Their father, deceased. It was oh so important to alert him. The spirit owl on the branches above let out an audible squawk, the only alert to the fact that he was not, in fact, a mute guide. The noise was one of sorrow and lament, echoing the emotions of the young Amara's heart.
