I'm combining a slave round up, seeing as one is getting captured and the other is dieing, with the second requirement for Bastion's co-rank. So any in Salsola that want to get in on a slave round up thread can join in; 528 words

Bastion had been hanging around closer to home, not that he ever really moved too far away from Salsola anyways. He stuck to the Northern territories and had yet to ever travel South. Well, there was that one trip to Halifax but he hadn't been alone for that one. He had his puppy with him to watch him and take care of him. But when he was out and about by himself he stayed within distance of Salsola. There were actually only a couple of territories that he had visited multiple times. Of course he hung around the Drifter's Bay area but had also made trips to the Dampwoods as well. But that was as far as he went when he was all alone. He didn't really tend to do exploring himself. He, like before reaching this area, sent Janos out before him to tell him what to expect. it was easier to walk into an area that one already knew about instead of trying to find ensnarements and traps one's self.

And perhaps that is what these two had on their minds. Perhaps they were just a scouting a party. Either way they didn't belong. They didn't live here and so they couldn't walk about freely like they thought to do. Bastion was silent as he made to follow after the duo. Perhaps they were just lost and didn't know? But that didn't seem to be the case since they bolted as soon spotted Bastion. Just the way they ran off made them look guilty. It made them appear as if they knew just what they were doing was wrong. And of course Bastion gave chase. This would certainly prove to be entertaining. He would finally get some playtime.

A clipped howl was sent up to alert the other members that they had invaders if the foreign scents hadn't already been stumbled upon. Bastion didn't have the time to fuss with his floral bath or to pull on clothing in order to hide his marking, him not having indulged in either when he remained around Salsola, or else he would lose sight of the duo. That was certainly something that he didn't want to happen as he ran in his two-legged form after them. So what if they were back in neutral territory now? They had been inside and seen things. They couldn't be permitted to walk away with that knowledge. At least in Bastion's mind he wouldn't allow them to have such knowledge without suffering consequences. Most in Salsola had never seen him in action. Okay well, they saw the small display wit the kits but they had no idea of the true delight he got from being able to play freely. They hadn't seen him actually play but just give up an offering that fell in line with his own beliefs. And that is what he was thinking of, he would dig out what information he could from them in order to deliver to the leaders then he would add the rest of their lives to his own. Certainly he couldn't be faulted for disposing of those that had acquired too much knowledge, could he?
