Mars spoke up before Krystalle could answer more of Ehno's questions, and the woman fell silent. Pale pink eyes surveyed the territory behind her Italian acquaintance, curious of the change in scenery; something about this Crimson Dreams was different than both of the prior places she'd called home. It was certainly different than Nakzhi or the ruined city where she'd met the Russo. Maybe she'd be lucky and it'd suit the group more. Of course, after following Mars across the world only to move twice in such a short period of time, she wasn't holding her breath. With all of her luck, the leaders there would simply be more of the same — selfish, immature, unfit for their position. Had she wandered into a world of inadequacy? It was starting to seem so.
It didn't matter, though. Whatever loyalty she had still clung to her person and she knew that following Mars was the right thing to do. At least for the children, that she hadn't named as her own just yet. The resemblance between the squirming little girl and her subdued Latin mother was clear enough that words did not need to say much else. A heavy sigh escaped her lungs. "If y'all would take us, I guess; we don' really have much else to go." Her shoulders shrugged upward, eyes closing for a moment as she allowed the words to sink in. She was, without Mars, entirely alone in the strange place. It was frustrating.
