NOTHING BUT FLOWERS

Sorry for the length, struck by inspiration. <3 793

Since the announcement of the merger of two packs and the migration toward Ichika no Ho-en (a word veiled in mystery but having a riveting tune to it), Alae was persistent on collecting the many jars and artifacts recovered from Halifax and the neutral territories to bring with her. A process of elimination to keep what was essential was slightly difficult, due to the fact there were so many plants that offered a variety of benefits, but the critical ones were the ones to keep, ranging from the Black Cohosh, Bloodroot, Solomon's Seal, and Feverfew to name a few. The ones Alae decided to leave behind were sprinkled outside her den site, a reminder to those future travelers that her home was once here, and would be a pity to keep even the most withered plants forever stowed away in glass jars. Den debris of bones, broken pottery, and even several stray feathers from Kael's wing was left; perhaps as a moment for any curious travelers in the future to know a pack with a great empire once reigned here, and the artifacts would forever be left for future interpretation. Fortunately there was nothing overly intricate as far as decorations went found in her den site since it was kept simply as a herbal storage and a sleeping quarters, so packing for Alae and Kael was relatively light; at least three leather bound shoulder satchels at best to get them on the move. With one last longing look at the den she would leave behind (one day surely planning to return to reminisce; it was important to keep the roots of your origins intact), Alae and Kael set out to meet with the gathering group of former Dahlians and Valleymen. Lacing some of the cargo carried as far as any vegetation brought, when every other item was secured, it was a sign that this was destiny set in motion.

Waiting for the arrival of every single member (the majority holding familiar faces to her, even some from Phoenix Valley who she encountered before), her face and eyes beamed with elation of the migration. Razekiel's voice held compassion of their new lands, and interested to get acquainted with an interesting looking figure (from his unruly dreadlocks down to his rose tinted glasses), without another word the band of Luperci set out to the destination of their new lands. Keeping pace with the group, the different scents of different territories were carried along the breeze, titillating her senses, but also smelling the incense of Nature herself, which appeared to grow more crisp and sweeter as they ascended upon the mountain that would lead them to their valley of peace and serenity. Small chatter was heard here and there, as Alae even made small talk to several of those she knew from Dahlia. Reaching the summit of the mountain, Razekiel outstretched his arms to the kingdom rested before them, their kingdom. The air here was so fresh it made her light headed with delight, taking in a deep breath to take in the scents of the pines and deciduous trees that protected their valley like loyal soldiers. Taking in as much as the five senses she could, the panoramic view was outstanding. Every land held its unique beauty, while Dahlia had taken captive of Alae well enough, even the Sidhe admitted this new land was much more resourceful than the one they struggled to fit back together. Putting peace of Dahlia de Mai and the respect for such in the past, there was an instant mask of restfulness and confidence to overcome her. Even Kael, usually perched without a word upon her shoulder, displayed signs of perkiness, as even his wide yellow eyes danced with prospect at the many trees here he could make a home out of. Ichika no Ho-en, it was love at first sight.

Nayru spoke of food, and the thought sent her jaws watering after a long trek. Perfect opportunity to settle down and learn more about the newly extended family of the Ichika, Alae was eager to help in any manner she could. Setting her clinking satchels down, her attention diverted to Nayru. "I'll run along with you to scout for scents. Whoever wants to start the fire, I've got spare incense to burn to make things a little more… festive." Alae remarked with a growing grin, seeing as how their first meal and gathering should be jovial in food, light, laughter, and even smells to make the setting a little more personalized. Alae possessed handmade incense to make the mood, and if the group was willing… would love to conduct a grateful session of meditation and spiritual bonding before the evening would expire for their exploration in the early morning.
