He was not completely happy. Temo did not mind that the packs merged but it was the move. In his travels around Phoenix Valley, he had scavenged a number of items and tools to try and salvage in an effort to become a productive member. Most of which he had to leave behind in favor of the more important items like the few books and pages from books.
He and Jace proceeded on the trek with the others. His hand holding hers for comfort and to give comfort. He could tell that Jace was not happy and her happiness lessened with each step. They kept to themselves for most of the trip, avoiding those they did not know from the other pack, which for him was everyone. He had glanced around and could see that there was a mix of expressions, some happy or excited. Some, like Jace and him, were not.
His biggest concern was that they were heading north and into the mountain range. Flashbacks of the blizzard from last February flashed through his head. It had been his experience that the further north one goes, the worse those storms get. He hoped that between him and Jace, they will find a good, safe place to call home that will stand up to that kind of punishment.
The trek north, circumventing other pack lands currently occupied and then through the mountains had taken most all day. Tired from the long walk, he looks around at the lands and did not even hear their new leader talk. There was possibility here and he would try to fit in. Early on when they had joined the pack, Jace had been getting him to make meet others and make friends and with the addition of the other pack, he will have the opportunity for trying to make more friends.
Right now though, he had another concern to worry about and It was Jace. She had wandered off and Temo glanced around until he spied her. He walked over to her and gently took her into his arms in a hug. "Do not worry, I am here with you and I will always be with you regardless of the changes around us," he whispered to her.
