Nice post Smile

Axelle seemed distracted for a moment. Perhaps she was pondering Lucia’s words, or maybe just mocking her. It didn’t bother the ebony female too much, however. She was just happy to be drinking. She lived for that these days. There wasn’t too much else for the female to live for.

Axelle had nodded in response, a small smile on her face. Lucia had seen that smile before, or similar versions of it anyway. It was one that she often wore herself. It was the indicator of dark thoughts and happy memories. She loved that smile; it never failed to amuse her. Though it did beg the question of what her companion was thinking. Lucia did not peg this female as ultimately evil or twisted, though she never put her past seeking revenge. Considering what had happened to her in the past, Lucia figured it was something of an eye for an eye moment, and it definitely brought out the curiosity in the darker female.

Snapping back to reality, the voice of the unusual woman floating melodiously through her skull, Lucia raised an eyebrow at what she heard. That was unexpected, though it triggered something that Lucia could only guess was admiration. There was also jealousy in there as well. Smiling quietly, her eyes studied the woman in front of her. It appeared she had several hidden skeletons. That meant interesting conversation, perhaps even a little bit of troublemaking if Lucia played her cards right. It had been a while since she had located a partner in crime, so if it came down to it, she was relatively happy with the idea of this damaged, and slightly nutty, female taking on the role.

Taking another small swig from her bottle, Lucia tilted the neck of it in Axelle’s direction. “Kudos to you,” She smiled malevolently, a glitter of psychosis in her eyes, “It would appear you are almost as mental as yours truly.” There was amusement in her voice, maybe an underlying playfulness, but it would never show. She would not allow for such things to rear their ugly heads. It would remain as it was, sick and twisted words of humour. It was better that way anyway.

Remembering that she in fact held a cigarette between her fingers, Lucia eagerly puffed on the end. The tip glowed orange as smoke wafted into the sky above her. She exhaled loudly, having enjoyed the momentarily bliss that this cancerous vice offered her. She smiled silently, waiting for a response to her earlier rant about men and love, and all those things that made her stomach knot and her mind scream out in anger.

It wasn’t much of a response, however. A simple yes of acknowledgement and agreement had rolled off the others tongue. This frustrated the female a little, but she didn’t let it show. It would seem apparent that Axelle was not yet in the know of relationships and love. She was a lucky one. Lucia often wished for that herself. She wondered where she would be now had things gone differently. Would she have ever been with Snake? Would he have left her? Would she be sitting here drinking with this equally strange woman today? …So many questions that would never be answered. It was beginning to make her head hurt.
Finishing the cigarette, Lucia flicked the butt into the distance somewhere. It was safely out; however, for a small hiss could be heard before silence came rolling over them again. Satisfied with the knowledge that these two women were not going to burn today, Lucia turned her attention back to Axelle. She had just taken a relatively large mouthful from her bottle, and Lucia couldn’t help but let a cruel chuckle pass her lips. Her companions face was a picture. It would amuse the ebony female for weeks if the alcohol didn’t prevent her from remembering it.

“Bit too much there, eh…? You should be careful with that… you might end up getting drunk…”

It was then Lucia did something completely out of character. It even caught her unaware. She winked at the female in front of her, as casually as she had smoked a cigarette or drunk her booze. It was an odd gesture indeed, and Lucia had little idea what had come over her. It vexed her deeply, confused her. She sat there silently, waiting. The moment had passed and now Lucia had folded back in on herself, as introverted as bats in sunlight.
