Thank you Smile I liked your post too.

pushitinSmall fish were playing in the stream, their scales glinting as they caught the sunlight, they didn't seem to be going anywhere, just swimming mindlessly up and down, round and round they went, a little family of small fish. Had Soran been in any mood she would have dipped her fingers in the cool water, let it splash around her hands, perhaps she would have wiggled her dark fingertips at the fish family. No doubt they would have scattered every which way in panic, but then again they might have stayed, danced with the obsidian intruders in their little aquatic word. But she was not in the mood for it at all, they did not want to be disturbed, and neither did she. Once upon a time she would have leapt right into the stream, laughing and bouncing around, enjoying the day, relishing in the contrast between the warmness of the sun and the chill of the slow paced stream. But that was no longer Soran, perhaps it was, somewhere deep down, but alas it was not, at least for the time being.
pushitinShe supposed that it would sadden her if her mind was not the whirlwind cloud of confusion it had been before she had come back here, come home, or so she had supposed. For so long she had dreamed of coming back here, finding her family, her blood, explaining how she had missed them so, how she was sorry for what she had done, for leaving them and going her own way. Losing herself in the wilderness to the far North had been the only thing she could concieve doing, the obsidian fae had considered coming back many times, simply saying that she had been on holiday perhaps, had just gone for a walk and lost track of time. But then she had met Dayna and the world had changed, the cream coloured lady had been a lover to her, for a brief time they had been happy. But happiness is finite; eventually Dayna had tired of Soran, tired of the coolness between the pair, the lack of affection; it was not that Soran did not want to be affectionate, she just could not find the energy any longer to be anything other than maudlin.
pushitinBut now she was home, that was meant to have fixed everything, she was meant to have walked into a happy family. Conri had had his troubles, but he should have learnt that he was not his father by now, he should have become a happy creature again, looking after his pups and grandpups. Alas that was not the way, everything was different than she had planned, than she had hoped. Perhaps it was not all bad though, it was darkest before the dawn after all, perhaps everything would turn out fine, some how Soran doubted it, but she could hope.
pushitinA sudden loud crack broke the dark lady's reverie, her pierced left ear swivelled slowly to the sound, followed by the rest of her head. Green eyes fell upon a strange sight, for a moment it was like looking into a mirror, before her stood a fae as jet black as herself, with green eyes. If she had been a few years younger it could have indeed been her. Especially the pained look upon her face at being discovered, Soran understood how it was good to be alone sometimes, in fact she had been quite enjoying her own solitude. But alas, the day seemed to be refusing the dark pair this as well as presenting them with their own sets of problems. Well, perhaps they could help one another.
"Hello there, how does the day find you?" Soran called out, hoping that perhaps although this other female looked glum, she might have happy stories hidden behind her sad eyes.
