[[no problem dearest! apologies for the lack of a table <33]]

The female in front of him seemed friendly enough and a smile graced her white bleached face. However, as his questions rang true, her face dropped and offense took hold there. Of course, there was nothing Saul could do to aleviate her discomfort- though she had been a previous member of Phoenix Valley, he treated her as another loner and all loners were asked the question he asked now. Her words surprised him however, in their hostility. It was not his fault that he had to ask these questions- while he had never had any tutoring in how to deal with joining members back in Dahlia, Nayru and Razekiel had made sure that all members holding a prestige rank knew, down to the word, what they had to ask. The joining process was so specific, they couldnt exactly go making it up. Saul opened his mouth to answer her, but she seemed to understand then the need for this information and buckled. She asked for forgiveness and, in a much more moderate tone, answered that she had committed no crimes.

"You are forgiven, Rendall. Perhaps you will not be so rash in your hostility when you look for the reasons I have asked you these questions. Regardless, I am pleased you have been convicted of no crimes."

He said, mostly kind words used as a rebuke. Insubordination was not something that Ichikans really dealt with- though those in the prestige and leader ranks were elevated above those in the specialised ranks, there was a certain sense of respect for all members of Ichika, no matter their rank. Saul had yet to encounter an Ichikan who had been rude or forthcoming with their 'seniors'. Still, it was clear Rendall, who had been met by Jace and therefore an old friend, had been caught off guard by the immediately personal question and had reacted instinctively. As soon as she had paused to think about her words, she had realised her folly and sought to correct it. She showed that she had a good heart, even if she was a little rash. Green eyes allowed some mirth back into his posture as he inclined his head.

"As we have established, I do not know you. And therefore I am unaware of your skills and interests within the pack. Could you tell me of your skills, and how you intend to live within Ichika. We have many jobs that still need to be filled, which rank do you wish to hold?"

He asked, keeping his voice light and easy. It was hard to gain the right balance in these situations- one had to be firm and directful with their questions, but not so blunt as to cause offense. Still, he was sure both of their ignorance had been taken into account.
