Set in The Ruins in Borgata Colotl just before twilight after Tayui's meeting with Sirius (so she would smell like him a bit). Tayui is in lupus. (WC: 322)
After her chat with Sirius, Tayui had taken some time to think about what he’d said. Although she had initially rejected his offer of freedom, thinking it to be only more chains (which it was), the later subject of their discussion greatly appealed to her. If she could become the Sapienza of this pack, then she would again have an opportunity to learn more and continue meeting others. Certainly, it would not be under the best circumstances, but perhaps she could learn a bit more about what had happened to her daughter Noir and what was now happening to her.
Sirius had mentioned another wolf in the pack, Janos, who was a go-between for the Sapienza and the pack. Tayui wasn’t sure where to find him, but she figured The Ruins would be a good place to look. It was a hub of activity which acted as the agora of the pack. She hoped that even if she did not find him here, she would find someone to ask.
She had found Darijus wandering around in The Ruins, likely attending to some matter or another. She had questioned him and he had replied quietly, with his eyes to the ground, that Janos was likely to be about. He didn’t know where and apologized for it, but Tayui was happy to know that at least some of the other members knew the wolf was around. Salsola was large enough to hide away if one really wanted to.
Tayui trotted toward The Ruins and began poking around. She made a slow ring around them, but saw nothing for the time being. She decided to step out of The Ruins and send out a quick howl asking Janos to meet her there. She raised her head and let out a quick, low series of howls. When she was done, she sat down and waited, hoping either for a response or an appearance by the male.
