Will lightning strike our fears away?

WC:000+ - Long, boring post... but suddenly I feel like a mother watching her baby boy's wedding. x3

After weeks of prodding and subtle hints, Matteo had somehow convinced Alaki to keep to pack traditions. Or maybe it was the other way around, with Alaki slowly convincing him. Either way, the rather unique pair were, as Teo so giddily called it, getting married. Their ceremony was that morning, a bit early for the boys but agreeably a good time for it. The entire night prior, Matteo hadn't been able to sleep. He'd been jittery and nervous. He had a fairly good reason to be. He was getting married.

In front of an entire pack. His pack. To another male, a wolf no less. His brother had not been informed, at least not by him. Teo secretly hoped that the darker Trovato wouldn't show up for the ceremony at all; he had no doubt in his mind that Giu would be furious. And what of Gemma? He'd told her and in all the excitement, he hadn't bothered to check her eyes to see how she really felt about it. It almost felt... other-worldy as it was, him getting married to someone, to Alaki!

He'd just have to accept whatever reactions the others had. Naniko had... grimly approved of the union, so the ceremony was to continue, despite whatever sour attitudes showed up.

Matteo was dressed in something... interesting, to say the least. His black shirt, dark pants and of course, no boots or paw coverings. Not the suit he wore to Demi's ceremony, for sure, but somehow he still looked handsome. His hair was tied back in intricate braids, all forming one surprisingly neat bundle between his shoulders, beads decorating many of the smaller braids. His fur was perfectly groomed, not a hair out of place, not even a fleck of dirt. Despite the quivering hands, Teo was ready.

As was little Camilla, who had insisted on being a 'flower girl' at his wedding. She'd started shifting recently and ever since her first shift she'd almost always been in her optime form, as felt natural to any Trovato. She'd been dressed in a cute off-white sundress, her hair tied back neatly into a french braid and fur neatly combed. She'd taken the time the previous evening to pick a basket of flower petals and after a lot of begging, Teo had caved and allowed her to 'be his flower girl' for the ceremony. She was strictly instructed to stay with the crowd and away from the fire. If Gemma showed, she was to cling to the white lady and not leave her side until it was time for gifts. She'd agreed to it after a few minutes of scolding. Damn Trovato stubborn attitude issues.

Teo was just pacing back and forth in the room he shared with his sister and Alaki, tail waving out of excitement, mouth dry with nerves. That's when Naniko howled for them. Camilla was the one who heard it best and she quickly dragged her brother out to the ceremonial grounds, talking excitedly the entire was and not bothering to look back and see if Alaki were keeping up.

He came onto the ceremonial grounds with nervous eyes and a weak smile. Camilla rushed around instantly, tossing petals about carelessly but cheerfully, 'decorating' for her brother's strange wedding. This is gonna be a disaster. I just know it. He swallowed that stupid fear though and looked around while he waited. The coals were laid down, a lamb was chosen, the bones crossed above it all looked just as forboding as they had when he'd first seen them. Somehow though, when Alaki caught up to them, he was sure that he'd feel ready for this. After all, who didn't feel safe beside their knight?
