The segment of her youth where her mother was gone was not something Caprica often looked back on fondly, it was true; but as kids often do she had somehow assumed it was all for the best, and now that seemed to have turned out to be true. Here they both were, and such a place. "This place looks amazing," she exclaimed. "And you look good, too... you look..." She tailed off, facing her mother full now. "You're pregnant, aren't you!" Caprica whooped. She was going to be a big sister. Her family was expanding before her eyes. She reached forward to give Naniko a congratulatory hug. In the flush of delight in the realisation, she forgot she hadn't thought to ask where her mother had been or what had brought her to this place in the mountain, or how life had been treating her in general. Caprica was caught up in the moment, and oblivious as children can be - even grown ones - and there seemed to be nothing but good news.
