The female had clearly been taught what was appropriate. It reminded him of how his sister acted. He had broken her down on his own and now she was a slave to be used by the rest in the family. He had brought in a slave that needed a bit more breaking still. But at least he couldn't speak out against instructions again thanks to Bastion. So anyone that had been paying attention at the supper knew that he was quick to act out against insubordination. Of course it had been at Sirius's command but still he would have done it on his own accord. The male slave's companion had suffered at Bastion's hand for such a thing. He had ended up perishing but that mattered not to the small male. The kill had been one of many for him and he had no qualms with continuing that streak either.
A frown worked its way over the small boy's lips. He knew what he saw and he knew what it meant. If she wanted to represent herself as a slave even if she wasn't one then he would treat her just like one. It was her own fault for choosing to wear jewelry in a place where it was a symbol of status. If she didn't want to be seen as a slave then she should remove the jewelry and keep it out or else confusions like this were destined to keep on happening.
"Ring is rank. You slave." Even if it might not be her actual rank in the pack it was how she portrayed herself and so Bastion would remind her of that in his clipped words. "No talk. Go work." He was being nice for now but it was clear by his tone of voice that he would not stand for any sort of argument. Or actually he could probably use her himself. He turned his arm from pointing in the direction of the ruins in order to point into the trees. "Go find it." He figured that he would send her to find the stitched up raccoon that he had lost. "Find food." Or he would settle on some other morsel.
